How do I apply?
Get in touch today and one of our helpful housing officers will meet with you.
We'll then carry out a Housing Options interview. A Housing Options interview can take up to 45 minutes and includes:
- looking at your current circumstances
- seeing what options may be available to you, including mid-market rent and renting from the private rented sector
- looking at your financial circumstances and giving you money advice, including details on the cost of running a home and banking information
- advice on employment opportunities to help you run a home.
After your Housing Options interview you will get a copy of your personal plan.
The next steps to applying for a home
As part of your Housing Options interview, you may be asked to fill in a Housing Registration Form.
You will receive a Registration Number, an Applicant Group and a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
You can then go online to our Home Finder website and start noting interest in homes which meet your housing needs. Our available homes for rent are posted each Tuesday on Home Finder.
Noting an interest in homes
When you’ve registered using your Registration Number and PIN, you can then start noting an interest on the available flats and houses for rent on Home Finder.
You have until 8pm on a Monday to note your interest in available properties. You can register up to two notes of interest in homes advertised in your Group.
Successful notes of interest
If you are successful, you will be contacted by the housing officer within 24 hours of the advert closing.
You will be given a chance to view the home within two days. You can then let us know if you want to sign up.
Unsuccessful notes of interest
If you’re unsuccessful, we’ll write to you letting you know within seven days.
We will also update your Home Finder account and you can continue to note interest on Home Finder.
