Home Comforts
Making your house feel like a home can be expensive. Our Home Comforts service helps tenants who need furniture but can’t afford it.
We take unwanted pieces of furniture, white goods and appliances, clean them and deliver them to tenants who need it most. You can get access to items including beds, sofas, cookers, wardrobes and washing machines.
If you need help to access furniture, white goods or electrical appliances – please speak to your housing officer or contact our customer first centre on 0800 952 9292.
How to donate furniture
Do you have furniture, electrical or white goods in your home you no longer need? Get in touch with your housing officer or our Customer First Centre on 0800 952 9292 and we can arrange a free pick-up. We can then pass these goods to people who need them.
If you are donating any upholstered seating (e.g. sofa, chair, office chair, etc), we can’t accept it if there are any tears in the fabric, due to new legislation around persistent organic pollutants (POPs) which can be found in some upholstered items.
Our Home Comforts team will carry out checks before we can accept these items as donations.
