Loretto News summer 2017 is out now

Keep Scotland Beautiful

Click on Loretto News summer 2017 to read the online version of the newsletter.

The magazine includes some inspirational stories of tenants working to improve their communities.

Teenager Gemma Power was so moved by the plight of homeless people in Glasgow she did something about it.

The 16-year-old is collecting clothes, toiletries and other items from family and friends and distributing them to people in need.

Meanwhile, a tenant in Grangemouth got a new lease of life after attending a day’s cookery class and decided to get more involved in her community.

And a tenant in Paisley helped organise a fun day in her community – and laid on some tasty home-baking as well.

Loretto News is also packed with stories about schemes which will improve people’s lives and communities, including a:

  • partnership with Keep Scotland Beautiful to make communities great
  • new joint venture between Wheatley Group – our parent company – and City Building (Glasgow) to improve our repairs service
  • bursary scheme which provides life-changing support for tenants to go to university
  • new scheme to help young people get into theatre.
