Residents have their say about the future of Balloch
Residents of a West Dunbartonshire town recently had their say and helping shape the future of their village.

Loretto Housing Association tenants in Balloch took part in a ‘neighbourhood approach’ event held at Jamestown’s Lennox Hall last month.
Tenants were asked to give their views on a range of issues in Balloch, including green spaces in the community as well as traffic, parking, areas for play, housing and work opportunities.
Their responses will shape a new three-year community plan by Loretto Housing, part of Wheatley Group, and partners, including West Dunbartonshire Council and Police Scotland.
Laura Henderson, Managing Director of Loretto Housing, said: “It’s really important we involve customers in future planning for their area.
“The feedback we received will be shared with our partners and will shape the plan going forward and make sure we improve services and boost the local area.”
Former business owner, Patricia Corr, 61, added: “I think this is amazing. I was never able to come to events like this because I was always working. Now I’m retired, I’m happy to participate. It’s good to hear other people’s views too.
“Hopefully other people will come on board to give their views. I love this area and there’s a good community spirit.”
Tenant Catherine McKenzie, 62, loves living in Balloch. She said: “I’d like to see more green areas being looked after and more social events being organised.”
Morag Duncan, 66, added: “It’s nice to be asked for our views.”
The event was organised by Wheatley’s Stronger Voices team. They work with customers and communities to make sure the views of customers are heard through neighbourhood walkabouts, panel discussions and focus groups on housing and local investment-related issues.
