There are a number of ways for tenants to get involved – formally or informally:
Local Tenants Associations - If your area isn’t covered by a group you can start a new one. The Housing Team will be happy to give you advice and help to do this.
Loretto Residents Forum - This is an umbrella group which meets quarterly and consists of tenants and shared owners from different developments who meet with Senior housing staff to discuss a variety of housing and policy issues.
Loretto Management Committee - There are currently vacancies for tenant representatives on this committee which has overall responsibility for the services that Loretto Housing delivers. Training and support are provided for anyone wishing to join.
It may be you are unable to commit a lot of time to meetings - your views are still important and we want to know about them. You can still be involved through the following methods without having to find time for regular meetings:
Tenants Newsletter - Loretto's Newsletters are published four times a year. You can send in articles about housing issues in your area that can affect tenants elsewhere.
Tenants’ Panel - This is made up of tenants and shared owners willing to give their views. You could be invited to
Tenants’ Satisfaction Telephone Survey - This is carried out quarterly by an independent organisation which asks for your view of housing services you have received. Loretto staff provide reports to the Residents Forum of how they have responded to your feedback
Design Group - This group was made up of Loretto Senior management staff and tenants who met to discuss issues relating to the design of new and existing homes. The group also goes on site visits to new properties. The group is currently innactive.
