Type of service provided
The Fordneuk Accommodation and Alcohol Support Service provides a Housing Support and Care at Home Service to up to 14 men and women aged 18yrs and over. Service users will have been affected by homelessness, have a history of non-engagement with services and ongoing alcohol issues.
The service is staffed 24hrs and operates a sleepover and nightshift facility.
The staff Team consists of:-
Project manager x 1
Team Leaders x 2
Support Workers x 9
Support Assistants x 9
Housing Administrator x 0.25
The service supports individuals who are unwilling or unable to engage with services on a planned or consistent basis and have expressed a view that they will continue to drink alcohol. Each Service user has their own self-contained accommodation. Each Service User will have an individual package of support focusing on their individual preferences, needs and aspirations. The service operates a multi agency approach which includes involvement from Health, Social Work, Housing and other voluntary Organisation’s in order to maximise the opportunities for the Service User to maintain their accommodation.
How to make a referral and who to contact
The primary reason for referral to the service will be directly related to the individual being affected by homelessness and having alcohol related issues. The current referral process requires completion of a Loretto referral form and a Loretto Health and Safety checklist along with a suitable detailed assessment from the referring Agency/Care Manager. The completed referral paperwork should then be forwarded to the Senior Commissioning Officer :-
