Type of service provided
We provide a housing support service to men who are living temporarily within James Duncan House. They are living in James Duncan House due to experiencing homelessness. All men are aged eighteen years and over. The service operates seven days per week from 8am-5.30pm, and from 9am-6.30pm at the weekends.
The staff team currently consists of;
3.5 x support assistants
6 x support workers
2 x team leaders
2 x acting team leaders
Due to the current hostel decommissioning programme, staff are working to assist the service users to resettle in suitable, alternative accommodation. This involves working closely with other external agencies such as the Homeless Assessment and Resettlement Team, the Homeless Addiction Team, etc.
How to make a referral and who to contact
Referrals are usually made by the hostel closure team or the hostel deputes. Referrals for through corridor service users are made by their case worker.
