Type of service provided
The project at Quarrywood Avenue consists of twenty flats. Eight flats have been allocated to supported tenants. The remaining twelve flats are occupied by mainstream tenants. The service is registered with the Care Commission as a Registered Care Home and a combined Housing Support and Care at Home service for people with Mental Health problems. The Care Home element of the service caters for people who have Alcohol related Brain Damage. The service is currently inspected by the Care Commission at least twice each year in the form of announced and unannounced visits. The staff team also provide daily support to two Service Users living in the local area. The funding for the service is received from Social Work and Supporting People.
The staff team consists of twelve employees. This consists of;
1 Projects Coordinator
1 Team Leader
5 Support Workers
5 Support Assistants
Staff provide 24 hr support through a variety of shifts during the day between 8am and 11pm and there is a sleepover facility in place overnight between the hours of 11pm – 8am. The focus of the service is to provide support to Service Users to maximise the quality of their lives and maintain their tenancy within the community by promoting choice, diversity, empowerment and independent living.
