Type of service provided
The Whiteinch Service provides a Housing Support and Care at Home Service to 9 adults with Learning Disabilities. The service is staffed on a 24hr basis and provides planned support from 8am to 11pm. Out with these times a sleepover provision is in place to provide support for unplanned/emergency situations.
The staff team at our Whiteinch Service consists of:

Service users supported from this service live within their own tenancies, receiving an individualised package of support designed to meet their assessed need. The support offered centres around supporting individuals to maintain their own tenancy and engage with the local community. This is achieved through encouraging service users to engage in the support planning system and identify individual preferences, needs and aspirations. In order to maximise opportunities for service users the service operates a multi agency approach; this includes strong working relationships with Health, Social Work, Housing and other voluntary Organisation’s.
How to make a referral and who to contact
Referrals to the Whiteinch Service come via Glasgow Social Work Services with initial assessment of service user need being carried out by local area teams.

On receipt of all referrals an assessment is completed by the service to ascertain whether the service can meet the identified needs of the service users. Informal inquiries may be directed to the Service Manager who will provide additional service and referral information.
