The service is staffed 24hrs a day, seven days a week (including public holidays). The service has 10 single occupancy flats provided by the local council in which support will be offered. There is also crisis accommodation that can provide support for two people. The crisis accommodation is shared and each individual has their own room but will share the livingroom, kitchen and bathroom.
The service also offers outreach support to young people who are living in the community in temporary accommodation, B&B or their own tenancy. This service includes and out of hours support service offered to any young person working with Throughcare/Aftercare who may need additional support when Throughcare/Aftercare offices have closed.
Each young person will have an individual package of support focusing on their expressed needs and aspirations.
In order to maximise the opportunities for service users the service operates a multi agency approach which includes involvement from Health, Social Work, Housing and other voluntary agencies.
How to make a referral and who to contact
Referrals are received via the local council offices based at Springkerse House. (Tel No: 01786 432400) Once a referral is received from the council a support worker will contact the young person to arrange to meet them and discuss what support can be offered.
