Type of service provided
The Grangemouth Homeless Service provides a Housing Support and Care at Home Service from 2 staff bases to individuals who have experienced homelessness.
Garry Place supports fifteen 16 to 25 year olds within a shared occupancy environment. In addition the service provides community based support to individuals who have moved on from the service to permanent tenancies.
Inchyra Place supports 14 adults within a mixture of permanent and temporary accommodation. Like Garry Place this service provides community based support to individuals who have moved on from the service to permanent tenancies.
The service is staffed on a 24hr basis and provides planned support from 8am to 11pm. Out with these times a night shift worker based at Garry Place and sleepover provision within both Garry and Inchyra Place operates to provide support for unplanned/emergency situations.

Service users supported from this service live within their own tenancy or temporary accommodation, receiving an individualised package of support designed to meet their assessed need.
The support offered centres around supporting individuals to both gain and maintain their own tenancy and engage with the local community.
This is achieved through encouraging service users to engage in the support planning system and identify individual preferences, needs and aspirations. In order to maximise opportunities for service users the service operates a multi agency approach; this includes strong working relationships with Health, Social Work, Housing and other voluntary Organisation’s.

All referrals for the Grangemouth Homeless Service come via the Accommodation Resource Centre based in Falkirk.
